“Ronaldo gets €550,000 a day” plus advertising revenue and other perks

This season, Cristiano Ronaldo flew past two major individual awards – the Ballon d’Or and FIFA’s The Best – without even making the shortlists. And he harshly criticized the awards organizers afterwards.

“I’m used to the way these organizations work. To be honest, I didn’t watch the award ceremonies. I think these awards [ the Ballon d’Or and The Best awards] are losing credibility. That’s not to say that Messi, Holland or even Mbappe don’t deserve them, but I don’t believe in these awards anymore. There are just facts and figures, and figures don’t lie. They can’t take them away from me because that’s reality. And that’s what makes me happy because numbers are facts,” the Portuguese genius told Record.

In part, the striker is right. At 38, he is still in top form and tearing up the Saudi Arabian championship – he has scored 38 goals and given 13 assists in 44 games in all tournaments. However, it is now hardly possible to objectively compare him with the tops of Europe.

However, there is an indisputable indicator by which Cristiano is still the best in the world. And that is earnings.

Sport24 reminds: in December 2022, the Portuguese signed a contract for two and a half years with Al-Nasr and thus became the highest paid footballer on the planet.

Officially, the parties did not disclose the figures. But they have been named by insiders. And they can really drive you crazy!

Insider Fabrizio Romano said that the striker receives a salary of 200 million euros a year in the new team (including the realisation of commercial rights, without taking into account – just under 100 million euros). No footballer in the world has ever earned such a large sum before.

To be clear, 200 million euros a year is 16.6 million euros a month, 3.8 million euros a week, 550,000 euros a day, 23,000 euros an hour, 385 euros a minute, 6.4 euros a second!

But that’s not all! In terms of total income (not only on the football field) Ronaldo is also the best! Forbes magazine put the Portuguese on the first line of the ranking of the highest paid footballers in the world (2023).

The publication estimates that in 2023 the striker earned $ 260 million before taxes and agents’ fees. Most of this amount ($ 200 million) the Portuguese received in the form of salary and bonuses. Co-operation with Nike, Jacob & Co and other brands brought the striker $ 60 million.

For comparison, the second line of the rating was occupied by Messi ($ 135 million), and the third – Neymar ($ 112 million).

In addition, Cristiano topped the ranking of the highest paid footballers over the past ten years. Since 2013, he has earned a cosmic amount of $961 million!

Perhaps, in football terms, Krish has given up a little. However, he still knows how to earn the best!
