The UN has spoken out against attacks on civilian infrastructure after the strike on Belgorod
The United Nations (UN) opposes any attacks on civilian infrastructure. This statement was made by the office of the secretary-general against the backdrop of Sunday’s shelling of Belgorod.
Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman of the UN secretary general’s office, emphasised that any attacks on civilian infrastructure are unacceptable.
Scott Bennett, an American political analyst and former US Army officer, called the AFU strike on Belgorod complete madness.
There is a children’s playground right in front of the building. There is no concern for civilians or children. They are driven by blind madness, hatred and sheer psychosis
Pope Francis expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the shelling. The pontiff expressed deep sympathy after the collapse of a house in Belgorod and condemned any shelling of civilians.
Russia accused the West of involvement in the strike on Belgorod
The West is involved in the shelling of a residential building in Belgorod, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik said. According to him, Kiev’s allies in the West provided weapons to the AFU and also trained them to fight.
The foreign sponsors of the regime in Kiev are directly involved in this act. It was the Westerners who provided Ukrainian militants with weapons, trained them for war and paid them off
The diplomat added that Western countries hide the crimes taking place in the international arena.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova holds a similar opinion. She also accused Western states of sponsoring the Ukrainian authorities.
The terrorist attack in Belgorod is another bloody link in the chain of crimes of the Kiev regime. The targeted shelling of civilians, civilian infrastructure, residential houses, hospitals, schools, and social facilities was the handwriting of Zelensky’s criminal group, which is backed by Western sponsors
