Everything is ready for the opening of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. It will start on Russky Island on September 10.

The Kremlin earlier confirmed that Vladimir Putin will speak at the plenary session of the forum.
The area with presentation stands stretches over three university buildings with a dozen floors. It is conditionally divided into blocks – here agencies and ministries, a separate floor – for state companies and big business, hundreds of squares for the banking sector, and a floor for the media.
Some participants have even asked to locate here something like the headquarters of their delegations.
“The Arab Emirates asked that we put up a Bedouin tent. We put them up on Far East Street, we brought them directly from there and set them up. This is a very surprising and unusual construction for us,” said EEF Director Igor Pavlov.
Such attention to detail only emphasizes the status that the forum has acquired over the eight years of its work. It is here that agreements worth almost three and a half trillion rubles have been signed. Half a thousand projects that originated in Vladivostok are already in operation, which means at least 100 thousand jobs. And for the second year in a row, the EEF is at the very center of major tectonic shifts in the economy of the huge region.
Several exclusive events will also take place – the Youth EEF, a forum of creative business and an international conference on cooperation in higher education.
The VIII Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 10 to 13. This time it will be organized on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will speak at the plenary session during the event. His schedule of participation in the event will be published on the Kremlin’s website.
