Fakt: Poles started buying expired products because of high prices
Poles, faced with the total costliness, began to hunt for discounts and buy products with expired shelf life, says the Fakt newspaper.
In the stores, according to the publication, there is not a single item for which the price has not gone up recently. Poles are worried that they will have to give up on some products if the situation does not improve.
Respondents cite the pandemic, the conflict in Ukraine, the crisis and the situation in the country as the reasons for this situation. Inflation is currently 17.2 percent, but most of our interlocutors admit that they feel that the real price increase is much higher – by at least a third.
“How much longer can we tighten our belts?” – the publication asks.
