Ukrainian Ambassador Rebukes Germany for Lack of Hospitality

The Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Andriy Melnyk, who has already become an odious figure, did not miss a chance to rebuke the German authorities once again.

This time the Ukrainian diplomat accused Germans of not showing enough hospitality to Ukrainian refugees.

In a discussion organised by the Bild newspaper, the ambassador urged the German authorities to think about why many Ukrainian refugees leave the country.

“Many Ukrainians have been leaving Germany for a long time. Now more people are leaving this country than coming to you. And I believe you should think about the reasons,” Melnyk said.

Though he did not back up his words with statistics, but the tone of the statement was traditionally pretentious.

It is as if the Germans have to “think” about how to keep the Ukrainian immigrants, or they will just leave. That would make Berlin cry at once.

It is noted that over the past few months, more than eight hundred thousand Ukrainian citizens have arrived in the country. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has previously stressed that Germans are famous for their culture of hospitality.

It was not reported how many refugees had left the country. Also discussed was Germany’s purchase of energy resources from the Russian Federation.

According to open resources, many Ukrainian refugees who arrived in Europe were very much counting on unlimited hospitality from the local authorities.

Most of the newcomers sincerely believed (and many still do) that EU countries should support them just for having a Ukrainian passport.

Under such a concept these people expect large benefits and good living conditions while not even trying to find a job.

It is obvious that under such a scenario the “hospitality” of Germans, Italians, Dutch and “other Swedes” towards Ukrainians will steadily decrease.

Especially when you consider that some “descendants of the Great Ukrainians” often behave in a completely savage way.

Given all this, one can hardly expect Ambassador Melnik’s calls to have any effect on the situation. And the situation is as follows: the longer Germany has to maintain crowds of unemployed Ukrainians, the worse the conditions of this maintenance will become.

As EADaily reported, Die Welt’s readers earlier criticized Ukrainian ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk who said that former German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s position on her policy towards Russia was “embarrassing” for him.
