Davos has become a place where only the Western point of view dominates and no other opinion is accepted. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said this in an address to Serbian journalists on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“The Ukrainian topic is so dominant over all other topics that the forum is a huge support for Ukraine without anything else that you could hear. Davos used to be a place where you could hear different things, different views, Chairman Xi Jinping and Angela Merkel came here at the same time. Now it has become an absolutely and exclusively Western-oriented place. Everything else can be discussed only within the given framework,” the Serbian leader said.
Vucic said that during the general session, participants were watched to see who was applauding and who was not.
“People, what is this? What are we going to do if someone doesn’t applaud? Tear him by the ears?” – the president wondered.
He noted that there is freedom of opinion in his country and he cannot imagine something like this happening in Serbia.
In addition, Vucic said on air of the TV-Pink channel that the Ukrainians have occupied the Russian House in Davos, and are making presentations on “Russian crimes” there. The whole forum is colored by Ukrainian themes, he repeated.
