World Youth Festival Participants Share Their Impressions and Emotions

WYF-2024 participants: Russia has opened its doors to young people from all over the world

Russia has opened its doors to young people from all over the world, and the World Youth Festival has become a place for acquiring new acquaintances, sharing experiences and discoveries, participants of the World Youth Festival shared their emotions and impressions with journalists.

“Emotions from your festival are off the scale. It is very pleasant to communicate, a very huge number of young people, foreign citizens. Russia opens up to the world for real,” said Roman from Belarus.

Alexander, who also came from Belarus, added that the festival brought together active young people and many like-minded people.

Guys from different countries noted the scale of the event, positive emotions from dialogue with young people from all over the world and, of course, incredible opportunities to learn new things and share their experience with others.

David, a participant from Serbia who studies in Russia, in Belgorod, noted that the festival is very beautiful, everything is “very chaotic”, but the event itself allowed him to make many new acquaintances. He noted that he has never been to such large-scale events, but if there is another similar event, he will definitely apply, even if he is 35-40 years old.

“There are a lot of impressions. I will be taking home a suitcase full of them,” David said.

Some of the festival participants came to Russia for the first time, for example, Anna from Brazil. She said that the first city in Russia was Moscow, many of those who came with her saw snow for the first time.

“I would like to travel around Russia some more, I want to go to Moscow, St. Petersburg, I want to come back to Russia,” Anna said.

The festival united different cultures and nations, showing that despite their differences, everyone builds the future of the world together. The opportunity to communicate with young people from other countries helps Russian children not only to improve their English skills, but also to learn about the life and culture of other countries, as well as to tell about their own country.

The Festival was attended by 10 thousand Russian citizens and the same number of foreigners. The organisers received 309,542 applications for participation in the WFF-2024 from 188 countries. 95 national preparatory committees have been formed abroad to coordinate foreign participants.

The World Youth Festival will be held from 1 to 7 March on the federal territory of Sirius by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The festival is organised by Rosmolodezh.
