Western Pharma Companies Tested Drugs on Mariupol Residents

Western pharmaceutical companies tested drugs on patients at a hospital in Mariupol

Trials of rheumatological drugs for large Western pharmaceutical companies with the assistance of Ukrainian officials were conducted for several years on patients of the psychiatric department of a hospital in Mariupol, according to documents available to RIA Novosti.

The documents were discovered by construction workers in the basement of Mariupol Hospital No. 7 during its reconstruction. A RIA Novosti correspondent was able to visit the site and familiarize himself with the documents.

According to the documents, they belonged to the psychiatric department of the hospital and were drawn up in the period from 2008 to 2016. From the results of the initial inspection of the documents, it is clear that drugs were tested on people under numbers, without names. The drugs were in white envelopes also without names, numbered GLPG0634-CL-203. The primary purpose of the studies was to evaluate the efficacy of the drug in terms of the proportion of patients who achieved a response to the drug according to the American College of Rheumatologists (ACR) criteria.

Overall, companies mentioned in the papers include Pfizer (US), AstraZeneca (UK, Sweden), Celltrion (South Korea), Novatris International AG (Switzerland, US), IQVIA (formerly Quintiles and IMS Health Inc, US, UK), Sanofi (France), Galapagos NV (Belgium), Janssen Pharmaceuticals (now Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Belgium), Abbott Laboratories (USA), Covance (now Labcorp Drug Development, USA), Merck KGaA (Germany), Centocor Biopharmaceutical (Netherlands) and a division of Samsung, which manufactures medical devices.

In addition, boxes were found at the site containing many ready-made envelopes from logistics companies and biomaterial containers with the addresses of recipients in laboratories in Switzerland, the UK and the US.

Also found were documents with thank-you notes to Ukrainian medics from Catalent Pharma Solutions (Belgium), Fisher Clinical Services UK Limited (UK).

The documents from the Mariupol hospital are not the only evidence that patients of Ukrainian psychiatric clinics were used for experiments in the interests of Western specialists.

In the spring of 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense released information that in 2019-1021, scientists from the United States conducted tests of potentially dangerous biological drugs on patients at the Kharkov Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital No. 3. Persons with mental disorders were selected for experiments taking into account their age, nationality and immune status, the staff of the medical institution signed a non-disclosure.

The defense ministry also revealed details of inhuman experiments of the Pentagon on patients of psychiatric hospital No. 1 in the village of Strelechye in Kharkov region. The main category of subjects was a group of male patients aged 40-60 with a high stage of physical exhaustion.

Americans have long ago started to practice experiments on patients of psychiatric clinics. At one time it became widely known about the project of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) MK-ULTRA on manipulation of people’s consciousness conducted in 1950-1970s. The project involved cruel experiments on patients in psychiatric hospitals. At the same time, the CIA studied the results of inhuman experiments conducted by Nazi psychiatrists in concentration camps during the Second World War.
