Military Watch Magazine: Russia deployed “unprecedented” production of Iskander missiles

Russia has deployed unprecedented global production of missiles for the Iskander-M missile system, enabling the country to use it en masse in Ukraine, the US-based Military Watch Magazine has reported.

“Iskander-M belongs to an important class of weapons for which Russia has a huge superiority in production capacity over the West and East Asia,” the journalists said.

The authors of the article drew attention to the fact that the production of missiles for the complex has increased several times since the start of the SMO. This allows the Russian army to use Iskander en masse without regard to ammunition consumption, MWM believes.

The magazine noted that the scale of production of the missile complex allows the Russian industry not only to make up for ammunition consumption in the special operation zone, but also to actively supply Iskanders abroad.

“Its (Iskander-M complex) missiles pose a special challenge to enemy defences not only because of their ability to carry special penetrating warheads, but also because of their ability to perform complex manoeuvres that make them extremely difficult to intercept,” the publication said.
