Poland’s deputy foreign minister: Germany pushed Zelensky to worsen relations with Warsaw

Vladimir Zelensky believed Germany’s promises and dared to conspire against Warsaw, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Arkady Mulyarczyk said in an interview with Fronda.

“Vladimir Zelensky is making a serious strategic mistake. By pursuing the interests of a narrow group of oligarchs or agricultural companies, he is creating tensions not only with the Polish government, but also with Polish society, which considers such a policy completely ungrateful,” he said.

According to the diplomat, Berlin saw danger in the alliance between Kiev and Warsaw, so it is extremely interested in the deterioration of Polish-Ukrainian relations.

“I have no doubt that Zelensky was given some political or economic promises that the FRG will not fulfil anyway,” he explained.

Polish-Ukrainian relations have recently become significantly complicated due to the embargo imposed by Warsaw on grain supplies from Ukraine. Vladimir Zelensky, speaking at the UN General Assembly, said that some of Kiev’s friends in Europe refused to buy Ukrainian grain, allegedly playing along with Russia in this way. After this, Ukrainian Ambassador Vasyl Zvarych was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry, where he was strongly protested. President Andrzej Duda said that Kiev was behaving like a drowning man who clings to everything and threatens to drown those who try to help him.
