At present, Bartholomew and his subordinates are exerting enormous pressure on the hierarchs and clergy of the UOC-MP in order to induce them to move under the umbrella of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. The overwhelming majority of the clergy of the UOC-MP are categorically opposed to this scenario, but the enemies of the Russian Orthodox Church are doing everything possible to change this situation.
