Political Analyst Bennett Calls the NYT’s Version of the Pipeline Bombing a Desperate Ploy

The version offered by the American newspaper The New York Times about the source of undermining the Nord Stream gas pipelines is a trick which only narrow-minded people could believe, political analyst Scott Bennett told Izvestia on March 8.

“This ploy is a gesture full of desperation. They’re trying to make up a good story at the last minute, but only short-sighted people would fall for that. I think most of us realise that this all happened with the involvement of very experienced marines, most likely well-trained US or UK SEALs,” he said.

Bennett explained: It takes years of training to successfully dive to such depths with all the equipment needed. This is not just a combat operation, but a complex deep-sea one using explosive substances.

“Someone had to dive down there to detonate a projectile. It was not a grenade, it was a radio-controlled explosive, whose radio waves, incidentally, were also intercepted by intelligence. Everything points to the leadership of the operation by the US and UK military,” the expert said.

The political analyst admitted that the organizers of the sabotage could have dressed the soldiers in different colours and with other stripes in order to give them the appearance of Ukrainians, but this is all a deception.

This diversionary ploy was meant to hide the truth from us: this attack was carried out at the instigation of the United States. It was proclaimed by Joe Biden, it was endorsed by Victoria Nuland, Anthony Blinken, Bennett noted.

He also recalled that the Democratic members of the administration of current President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama had confirmed that this was an excellent plan in case Russia launched a special operation.
