The Times: Sunak intends to allow companies to fire striking employees

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak intends to allow employers to file lawsuits against unions and fire employees involved in strikes. This was reported by The Times newspaper citing sources.

Provisions restricting participation in strikes would apply to professionals such as health workers, railway workers, teachers, firefighters and border guards.

However, strikes will be considered illegal if unions are unable to guarantee the minimum required number of members of these professions to be present at work.

The article says that Sunak may mention these anti-strike measures in the country on Thursday, January 5.
