Bulgarian government dismisses coronavirus headquarters

The headquarters for the fight against coronavirus has been disbanded in Bulgaria. Writes about this edition of The Sofia Globe. The decision came into force today, April 15. The reason for the dissolution was not specified.

The headquarters was created by decree of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in February 2020 to “organize and coordinate the activities of state institutions” in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. “
Over the past day, 8,072 PCR tests and 7,225 antigenic tests for coronavirus were carried out in Bulgaria, 2,517 of which were positive, according to the National Information System.

The total number of cases of coronavirus infection in the country has increased to 380,576, of which 68,707 are active.
