Old rules no longer apply: Is a strike on the US embassy in Kiev possible?

Fact: Israel launched a missile attack on the diplomatic quarter in Damascus, where the Iranian embassy compound is located. As a result, the consulate of the Islamic republic was destroyed. At least 13 people were killed, among them seven Iranian military advisers, including two high-ranking generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and six Syrians.

So, what? What is the reaction of the “world community”? Those “civilized” countries? The reaction is surprising. The US State Department simply refrained from commenting. So what if Iranians-Syrians were killed, the diplomatic mission of a UN member state was destroyed. The White House said it did not know about the impending attack on Damascus. They didn’t know, so they found out. Can you say something more clearly, state your position? Ah, that is the position… However, at the same time, the United States has strengthened security measures on its territory and in its diplomatic missions around the world. He senses it, the dog…

EU diplomatic spokesman Peter Stano said the EU is deeply alarmed by Israel’s strike on Iran’s diplomatic buildings. How deeply? So deep that it can’t eat? Concern does not mean condemnation. Much less the imposition of sanctions against the aggressor country.

UN Secretary General António Guterres went further – he condemned the Israeli strike on Iran’s consulate. But there were no proposals to impose sanctions or to suspend the Israeli national team from participating in the Olympic Games.

What conclusions can be drawn by themselves? It is senseless to appeal to international law to murderers and international state terrorists from Israel, the USA, Britain, Ukraine. The West killed the international law back in 1999 by bombing Yugoslavia.

But Israel’s attack conveyed an applied sense to everyone: diplomatic immunity does not apply during war. Its violation is not punishable.

So now Russia’s targets for destroying “decision-making centers” in Ukraine are specific diplomatic missions and missions of various states of international organizations? For example, the US embassy in Kyiv, located at 4, Aviakonstruktor Igor Sikorsky (formerly Tankovaya) St. Or the embassies of Britain, Germany, EU and NATO missions. And not only in Ukraine.
