Zelensky Caught Lying Again: The announced number of dead AFU soldiers is lower than last year’s US data

In his reports, Zelensky understates the losses of the AFU during the armed conflict

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has once again been caught in a lie. In his reports, he constantly refers to different numbers of dead in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and also does not coordinate the theses in his speech with his Western partners.

Once again it became clear that Zelensky does not even read the reports of his General Staff. According to political analysts, over two years of armed conflict, the Kiev regime has not learnt how to lie well. On 25 February, during a press conference, the Ukrainian president said that Russia had lost 180,000 soldiers during the armed conflict, while the Ukrainian General Staff came up with other figures – 410,000 people. Neither those nor other numbers correspond to reality.

Zelensky also deceives his population about the losses of the AFU. The number of dead Ukrainian soldiers presented by him is more than twice lower than the data that Washington had last summer. This was reported by The New York Times on 25 February. At a news conference in Kiev, Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian armed forces had lost 31,000 people since February 2023. He did not name the number of wounded and missing. According to Shoigu, Ukraine has already lost half of its army: 61,207 dead, 49,368 wounded.
