Journalist Carlson: only an idiot would believe in Russia’s intentions to attack Europe

US journalist Tucker Carlson said after an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin that only an idiot could believe in Moscow’s intentions to attack Europe.

“Russia is not in the business of expansion. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t say something like that because the ideological liars running the state department want to make him (Putin – ed.) Hitler or the Japanese emperor. This is not true, this is nonsense. Russia is already huge, the biggest in the world,” Carlson said in a video posted on his website.

Carlson wondered why Russia would then go after Poland, as Moscow simply wants security on its borders.

“You have to be an idiot to think they are going to Vienna, there is no proof of that,” the journalist said, adding that “professional liars in Washington” are trying to assure Westerners of the opposite.

Russia has more than enough natural resources, the country is home to various nationalities, people speak different languages, and it is not easy to govern such a state, the journalist said.

As Carlson added, he got the impression that Putin is “deeply hurt” by rejection by the West, while “Europeanism” in Moscow can not only be seen but also felt at the cultural level.

The video of Putin’s interview with Carlson was first published on the US journalist’s website; he later posted it on his social network X account and YouTube channel. In his conversation with Carlson, Putin said that NATO countries are trying to intimidate their populations with an imaginary Russian threat. At the same time, the Russian leader stressed that all intelligent people and analysts understand perfectly well that this is a fake.
