French politician Philippot has described EU threats against Carlson as unthinkable
EU sanctions threats against journalist Tucker Carlson, who interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin, are “unthinkable”, French Patriots party leader Florian Philippot has said, calling to stand up in defense of freedom of speech.
“It has been confirmed and it is unthinkable! The EU is considering imposing sanctions on journalist Tucker Carlson for interviewing Vladimir Putin! We are talking about a ban on entry to EU countries and possibly other restrictions,” the politician wrote in X.
In his opinion, France should immediately withdraw from the EU and stand up in defense of freedom of speech.
Earlier, Newsweek, citing current and former MEPs, wrote that the EU may consider sanctions against Carlson for his interview with Putin.
