The IX International Cultural Forum Kicked Off in St. Petersburg

The International Cultural Forum opened yesterday in St. Petersburg. There is a huge interest in it in the world, representatives of more than 70 countries have arrived. In fact, it is the main event for the professional community: cultural workers, heads of major organizations, leading experts, as well as representatives of business and, of course, the authorities. All together they discuss history and modernity in culture: nine thematic blocks, including cinema, theatre, museums.

A separate conversation about the impact of artificial intelligence: whether it is a threat or a boon for the heritage of civilization. All this is of interest to people all over the world, as culture has always been a connecting thread between different countries and peoples.

The plenary session of the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum on Friday, 17 November, may be visited by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the organizers of the event.

“Yes, we are waiting, we are preparing, but there is no hundred percent guarantee,” – said in the organizing committee.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the President’s speech at the forum is indeed planned. The date will be announced additionally.

The forum in St. Petersburg will last three days, with a host of events across the city on the programme.
