Iraqi Militias Called for a Country-wide “Attack on Sweden”

An Iranian-backed group of Iraqi militias has called for an “attack on Sweden’s interests” across Iraq. This was reported by The Iranist.

The group, known in Iraq as Ashab al-Kahf, called on its members to pursue Swedish interests across Iraq.

As previously reported by EADaily, Iraq has threatened to sever diplomatic relations with Sweden if the action of burning the Holy Quran is repeated again.

Moreover, the Iraqi government asked the Swedish ambassador in Baghdad to leave the country.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has instructed the Foreign Ministry to recall Iraq’s Charge d’Affaires in Sweden.
