Independent: Russia Acted on Its Conscience – US Presidential Candidate Blames Washington for Ukraine Conflict

Democratic presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. has said that the USA is largely responsible for the conflict in Ukraine, The Independent has reported. According to him, it was Washington that forced Kiev to “sabotage” agreements with Moscow that would have avoided the conflict.

U.S. presidential candidate for the 2024 election Robert Kennedy, Jr. said Russia acted “in good conscience” when it deployed its troops in Ukraine, The Independent reported.

According to Kennedy Jr., now it is necessary to make “small steps” towards negotiations. And the United States, which bears great responsibility for starting the Ukrainian conflict, must do so as well. The Democratic Party politician insists that Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his part, has repeatedly agreed to talks, contrary to what is often claimed in the West.

“Putin has repeatedly said yes. In fact, he negotiated – on two occasions he agreed to the agreements. He agreed to the Minsk agreements and then in 2022 to an agreement that would have left Ukraine completely untouched,” Kennedy Jr. said.

According to him, it was the United States that forced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “to sabotage this agreement”. In this connection, he also noted that Moscow “acted in good conscience”, unlike Washington, which “acted in bad faith”.

As the British publication recalls, Kennedy Jr. said earlier this week that the conflict in Ukraine was “the spawn of a permanent mentality of foreign domination” in the US. On Tuesday, during a visit to New Hampshire, the politician said that “the American government has also contributed to the circumstances through Russia’s repeated deliberate provocations since the 1990s”.

Kennedy sees all criticism of his views, including statements against vaccines, as a media conspiracy to smear him. He urges Americans not to listen to what the press says about him and to listen only to his own words.
