As EADaily reported, the Russian Defence Ministry announced today that on the instructions of the president, the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has begun preparations for an exercise that will practice the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. The exercise is aimed, among other things, at unconditionally ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Russian Federation in response to provocative statements and threats by certain Western officials.
The British media have already recognised that Russia announced the exercise with the use of tactical nuclear weapons because of bellicose statements and provocations by the West, specifically the statements by French President Emmanuel Macron and British Foreign Secretary David Cameron.
