The day before the European diplomacy chief said the beginning of the Russian presidency of the UN Security Council was “suitable for April Fool’s Day”. In his opinion, Russia constantly violates “the very essence of the UN legal framework”, despite being a permanent member of the Security Council of the world organization. Borrell said that “the EU will oppose any abuse by the Russian presidency”.
