The majority of Slovak residents have become fearful of Ukrainians arriving in their country. This is according to a survey conducted by the Bratislava Institute of Politics and the STEM agency as part of the EU-funded Reviv EU project.
According to the survey, most Slovaks believe the state does more for Ukrainians than for them and fear that their arrival could weaken the economy of the republic or harm our culture. This opinion is shared by 56.6% of respondents. At the same time, when the residents of Slovakia were asked whether foreigners coming to their country make their country worse or better to live in, almost half of the respondents spoke negatively especially about the Ukrainians.
