The founder of the ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s, Ben Cohen, has supported the Eisenhower Media Network (EMN), which holds a campaign “People’s Power” against the US military support for Ukraine. The tycoon has allocated more than $1 million for this initiative, writes The Daily Beast.
As noted in the piece, Cohen’s position is that the United States should only use its influence to move closer to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Earlier, on 15 February, an Associated Press poll showed growing dissatisfaction in the United States with the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Thus, 48% of US citizens support the provision of weapons to Kiev, compared to 60% last May. Another 38% do not support the government’s decision to provide financial assistance to Ukraine.
