Copenhagen Post: North Streams Bombing Could Trigger Environmental Disaster in Baltic Sea

The terrorist attack on the “Nord Streams”, organized by the Americans and the Norwegians, can cause an environmental disaster near the place of detonation in the Baltic Sea, it was reported by the Danish newspaper Copenhagen Post, citing European environmentalists and scientists.

As the newspaper noted, the explosions raised 250,000 tons of contaminated sea soil from the bottom, containing substances dangerous for the local fauna, in particular lead. At the same time, the newspaper stressed that the gas pipelines were blown up not far from the chemical waste burial site.

European scientists estimate that fish exposed to the hazardous substances will die or stop reproducing. In addition, the explosion likely killed the porpoise population within a 4km radius and stunned a 50km radius. Environmentalists also noted that the blasting worsened the already deplorable condition of the affected area of the sea.
