US Ambassador in Israel Tom Nides has said that the nuclear deal with Iran is now frozen because the US will not even negotiate indirectly with Iran as long as it supplies Russia with drones to use them in Ukraine. This was reported by The Times of Israel.
The US diplomat noted:
“The Iranians are supplying drones to Russia and these drones are killing innocent Ukrainians. Today we have no chance to return to the negotiating table.”
Nides also added:
“As President (Joe) Biden said, we will not stand by and watch Iran get nuclear weapons. Secondly, he said, all options are on the table. Thirdly, Israel can and should do whatever it needs to do, and we have its back.”
The US ambassador to Israel also confirmed:
“The threat of a nuclear Iran is not only dangerous for Israel, but also for the Middle East and America. Our focus is on that…Cooperation between Israel and the US regarding Iran is on track.”
