Sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and deputy department head of the Central Committee (CC) of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Yo-yoing said February 20 that North Korea may intensify missile launches into the Pacific Ocean in response to U.S. actions. Her words were quoted by the North Korean Central Telegraph Agency (CTAC).
She noted that the US strategic strike capability has intensified on the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang is taking into account their impact on DPRK security and will respond accordingly, Kim Yo-yoing stressed.
“The frequency of using the Pacific Ocean as our firing range depends on the nature of U.S. military action,” she said.
