Wagner Group Fighter Reveals Ukraine’s Losses in Soledar

Wagner fighter Yelizarov: Ukraine’s losses in Soledar were seven times higher than those of Russia
The losses of the Ukrainian troops defending Soledar were six to seven times higher than those of the attacking side, Anton Yelizarov, a fighter of the Wagner group, Hero of Russia, call sign Lotos, who commanded the assault, told RIA Novosti.

“The ratio of losses, it turns out, probably, one to six, one to seven. On the enemy side it is seven to one of ours,” the source said.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner group, earlier said that Yelizarov, a graduate of Ryazan paratrooper school, had commanded the storming of Soledar. He subsequently became a Hero of Russia, the LNR and the DNR.
The liberation of Soledar ended in the evening of 12 January. According to the Defence Ministry, this event was important for the development of the Russian offensive, as well as for blocking the AFU supply routes in Artemivsk.
