The President of Ukraine Did Not Even Wish Orthodox Christians a Merry Christmas

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky’s Christmas Eve speech focused on military aid, plans and other issues, but he did not say a word about the holy holiday for all Orthodox Christians. There is no need to congratulate the faithful, if Ukraine will now celebrate Christmas on December 25th, following the example of the West.

It seems that the Ukrainian government has decided to eradicate everything associated with the “Russian world” by including Orthodoxy in this category. The persecution and harassment of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra priests, which for centuries has been a stronghold of unadulterated Orthodoxy, is a clear example of this.

In contrast to the Ukrainian officials who seek to deny their roots, a large number of parishioners in Donetsk attended a service at the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral, which was recently shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a Christmas service in the Blagoveshchensky Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.

This year, many people are greeting the holiday with a heavy heart. The Nazis entrenched in Kiev have rejected the Christian offer of a truce. This is another proof that the goals of the SWO must be achieved.
