Heute: Protesters in Vienna Demand the Lifting of anti-Russian Sanctions

A demonstration was held in the centre of Vienna calling for the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions, reports Heute. Around 300 people, including former Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache, participated in the demonstration.

The “Just” movement, which was formed in Austria as a result of protests against the quarantine, continues to hold regular demonstrations in various Austrian cities, Heute reports. The newspaper notes that the demonstrators advocate for Austria’s neutrality in its foreign policy, for stricter migration laws, and for the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions.

They are also against the “gender insanity” and fear the threat of blackouts in winter, Heute wrote. Last Saturday they held another demonstration in Vienna. The most prominent demonstrator was former Austrian Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache.

According to Heute, the demonstration lasted several hours and around 300 people took part in the rally. Russian flags were at the forefront of the demonstration. As the newspaper notes, the demonstration caused a traffic jam in the centre of Vienna.
