UN urged to lift all restrictions on exports of goods from Russia under grain deal

The UN urged all parties to make every effort to extend the grain deal and lift the remaining restrictions on exports of food and fertilizers from Russia. This is said in a comment by the official representative of the secretary general of the world organization Stephane Dujarric.

“We call on all parties to make every effort to resume the Black Sea grain initiative and implement the agreements as fully as possible, including removing as soon as possible any remaining obstacles to exports of Russian grain and fertilizers,” Dujarric said.

According to him, the UN understands all the difficulties in extending the grain deal, but believes they can be overcome. Therefore, Dujarric stresses, the organization is determined to continue working with all parties to achieve this goal.

“Governments, shipping companies, grain and fertilizer traders, and farmers around the world are now waiting for ‘certainty of the future,'” he said.
