The VII Eastern Economic Forum 2022 will take place on 5-8 September at the Vladivostok campus of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). More than 4,000 people are expected to participate in the Forum.
The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok is being attended by guests from 68 countries, including the USA, Japan and Europe, said Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and the President’ aide in the Far Eastern Federal District.
Earlier, presidential envoy for international affairs Yury Ushakov said that the largest delegation at the forum would be from China.
The Forum’s business programme includes business dialogues with leading partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as with ASEAN, a key integration grouping of actively developing countries in Southeast Asia, totalling more than 70 business events. The theme of the Forum is ‘Towards a Multi-polar World’.
At one of the blocks of the Forum, participants will discuss Russia’s place in the global structure, in particular, the new structure of global economic cooperation, economic wars, import substitution, Russia’s cooperation with other countries, and so on, reports the Mongolian edition Mogolgarag.
Experts note that all the prerequisites for Russia’s transition to a new ascendant phase are now in place. An important step toward achieving sustainable economic growth is to overcome the imbalances in the development of remote areas – Siberia, the Arctic, the Far East – and to create new “enclaves” of integrated economic development, reports the Asia Pillar News Service.
Russia will work on these areas. And this is already causing mass hysteria in the West. Especially since representatives of western businesses are planning to attend the forum.
The arrival of such guests means an opportunity for Russia to build a new dialogue. The West is not yet ready for this new relationship. Therefore, by all means, it pressures its business to fulfil the requirements of the government, even if it hurts itself.
