Vasyl Miroshnychenko, Ukraine’s ambassador to Australia, has announced a fundraiser for his daughter Yaroslava’s studies in London.
The Ukrainian diplomat posted the announcement, which was illustrated with a photo of a happy father and daughter, on his Facebook page. The ambassador told his followers that four years ago he went on a tour of the States with his daughter, choosing a future university.
“We rented a car and took a trip. San Francisco – Monterey – Carmel – Santa Barbara – Los Angeles. We took our time to see local universities such as Berkeley, Stanford, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the natural beauty.”
However, in the end, the daughter of a high-ranking Ukrainian diplomat did not choose any of the American high schools. The 19-year-old is now in London, where she will start studying chemistry on 1 September.
