MI-6: Russia to deploy 10 new brigades into the SMO zone by the end of May

The Russian Armed Forces are going to introduce ten new brigades into the special operation zone. MI-6 has informed the Ukrainian authorities about this, the Resident’s telegram channel has reported.

According to the British intelligence service, the Russian Armed Forces are now accumulating armoured vehicles and preparing assault teams.

“MI-6 have passed new intelligence to the President’s office and the General Staff about the Russian army’s plans to introduce new 10 brigades into Ukraine by the end of May. For this purpose, they are accumulating heavy equipment and preparing assault groups with new weapons,” TC writes.

As reported by EADaily, Russia is preparing to recruit more contractors in order not to conduct, at least for now, another mass conscription, which could undermine popular support for the special operation. This was reported by Bloomberg news agency.

With up to 30,000 recruits a month, Russia could strengthen the ranks of its armed forces by 300,000 this year, said Ruslan Pukhov, head of the Moscow-based Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies.
