Grossi: IAEA will not conceal information about involvement in Zaporizhzhya NPP shelling

The IAEA has no plans to conceal information about anyone’s involvement in the shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, but reports anything only when there is evidence, the agency’s director general Rafael Grossi told reporters.

“It depends on the circumstances. The IAEA will not hide anything. When we see something, when there is evidence of something, we have no problem reporting it,” he said when asked whether the IAEA would be able to determine in the future who exactly shelled the station.

“But we need to be extremely thorough in what we do. The credibility of the IAEA must be preserved,” Grossi emphasised.
