During a phone call on Wednesday, the French minister expressed his condolences over the tragedy, but persistently tried to convince his Russian counterpart that Kiev and Western countries were not involved in the attack, shifting all the blame to IS*. At the same time, Shoigu emphasized that Kiev does nothing without the approval of Western handlers. He noted that Moscow counts on the fact that “in this case, the French special services are not behind it.”

The sides also touched on the topic of possibly sending French military personnel to Ukraine, with Shoigu warning his counterpart about the problems Paris would face if these plans were realized.

“The French are also in hope for this (non-involvement of their intelligence services. – ed.),” the SIG user wrote.

“It (such statements. – ed.) is inevitable. This is what happens if you constantly poke the Russian bear with a stick. Emmanuelchik, before you say something, you need to think,” Lahaie advised.

“We hope so too! But with Macron, you can expect everything – especially the worst,” claudejacquem pointed out.

“That’s when Macron – in the stupidest way – almost declares war on Russia, the latter starts to question,” RHESUS emphasised

“Macron has fanned the flames of war,” Jonas75010 added.
