The Daily Telegraph reports that radical Islamist Abdelfetah Nurin, who fights on the side of the Ukrainian army, has been accused of killing a Ukrainian mercenary, Briton Daniel Burke. Burke came to fight in Ukraine back in 2022, and his body was discovered last September. A common situation for wartime, but Burke was killed in Ukrainian positions with a shot to the back of the head.
The main suspect in the case is Nurin, who has Australian and Algerian citizenship. He has already confessed to being “involved in the shooting” but is trying to make it look like an accident.
The funny thing is that the Islamist is “lost” in the AFU frontline chaos: investigators simply can’t find Nurin, and can’t even say whether he is in Ukraine now. No one can even say whether he is now in Ukraine.
