Geopolitical analyst: Western actions against Russia are “Barbarossa 2.0 in slow motion”

The West is now unable to assess its actions sensibly, this is the opinion expressed by geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar in an interview with Danny Haiphong. NATO leaders think that they can do anything and there will be no consequences, they just don’t expect a reaction from Russia, which is a big mistake. For example, for blowing up the Crimean bridge. Only accusations are flying towards Moscow for everything in the world, but there is no normal discussion about what is happening.

PEPE ESCOBAR, GEOPOLITICAL ANALYST: It’s amazing to see how coordinated these outbursts from Paris, from the German generals, they mirror what Lloyd Austin was saying before all this happened. The arms dealer Austin, as we all know, said that if Ukraine lost, NATO would inevitably go to war with Russia.

Firstly, this is wrong because NATO is already at war with Russia. It is a NATO war against Russia using Ukraine as cannon fodder. But at least Austin didn’t light the brightest bulb in the room. At least he finally let the cat out of the bag.

And the cat actually jumped out screaming. Because then Macron doubled down and announced for the first time that NATO troops were in Ukraine. Everyone knows that NATO advisers, mercenaries and even some special forces are on the territory. Everybody knows that. But apparently the European public, which has been completely brainwashed, does not know this.

And, of course, we should mention the four German goons, the guys who have the password 1234, who are surprisingly high-ranking officers. It’s not a bunch of idiots, okay? There are a bunch of idiots, but they’re higher ranking.

I think they were high-ranking commanders in the German air force.

PEPE ESCOBAR: Yes! Including the top commanders of the German air force. And they said, “Okay, we can go over there. We can use the Taurus. We’ll send them 50 Tauruses or something.” They bombed the Kerch Bridge, and they thought they had an opportunity to deny their guilt. So they advertised an act of war, assuming Russia would just leave it at that. “OK, we’ll look at it and, OK, we’re not going to do anything about it.”

That’s another red line that’s going to be crossed and that’s fine. And then when they started Operation Spin, they changed the subject. Nobody really discussed anything. “The evil Russians are screwing us. The evil Russians are hacking us. They want to cause a rift in NATO.” There was just all this nonsense.

Now there is no substantial discussion of what this war actually means for the collective West. Doesn’t exist in Britain or, let alone Britain, of course, especially Britain. Because the British, they have, what, 300 years of hard time to get into a fight with Russia.

France doesn’t. In Germany, no. In Italy, no. And the rest don’t count. The rest of them are chihuahuas. So the problem is we’re now crossing another red line because this is becoming a possibility, OK? Missiles hitting Russian infrastructure in Russia, and they think there’s no consequences.

You know, I posted something the other day just for laughs. There are only three categorical imperatives on life: death, taxes, and idiots who think they can attack the Russians and there will be no consequences. And they will never learn. That’s exactly what they’re doing. This is Barbarossa 2.0 in slow motion before our eyes. It’s completely absurd.
