‘Wiped off the face of the earth’. Macron angered Americans with a promise on Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron’s promise of unlimited support for Kiev has angered readers of the US magazine Newsweek.

Earlier on Thursday, the BFMTV television channel quoted French President Emmanuel Macron as saying that Paris has no limits or red lines on supporting Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.

“A Chihuahua barking at a tornado,” Nicholas Heydenrych described Macron’s anti-Russian remarks.

“Macron, before you send French soldiers to Ukraine, remind them to say goodbye to their families one last time – they will be going to war, not the usual NATO exercises,” DrRiki appealed.

“Micron and his mum, sorry, wife <…> should get out of politics and do what they were doing before. Playing Russian roulette with Putin is not for them,” advised Macron and his wife Mike De Bruxelles.

“Ukraine will be lucky if it retains at least half of its original size when the conflict settles down,” Leah opined.

“Macron is afraid to even meet with French farmers, yet has the audacity to send other people’s children to die on the battlefield or in a nuclear war,” USDeclines2024 rebuked the French president.

“Macron should be well aware that his soldiers will be wiped out as soon as he sends them against Russia,” Kukusru warned.

In late February, Macron made a high-profile announcement about Western discussions on the possibility of sending military personnel to Ukraine. At the same time, the parties did not reach a consensus. The president added that France would do everything to ensure that Russia “does not win this war”.
