Representatives of more than 180 countries came to the educational space in the Sirius settlement in the suburbs of Sochi for the World Youth Festival (WYF). What WYF foreign guests say about the SMO and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and what words they would like to say to the heads of Ukraine and the USA
Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs “Rosmolodezh” Ksenia Razuvaeva emphasised that the main motto of the festival “Building the future together!” – “a real demand of modern responsible youth”.
“Many foreign participants came, including those from so-called unfriendly countries. Many of them faced pressure in their countries: both threats and outright lies. They were discouraged from travelling to Russia, frightened by various myths about our country. But this did not stop the boys. As we can see, they came, we are happy for them,” Razuvaeva told reporters.
“The US will never want Russia to remain great.”
A young man named Gabeto, who came to the WSF from Africa, spoke to reporters and said he knew a lot about Russia thanks to his grandfather.
He was a general in the army in my country. What we were told at school did not coincide at all with my grandfather’s stories. But as a true patriot of Africa, I believe my grandfather’s stories because he is a Hero of Africa. And he’s telling the truth. He told me, for example, that there were wars in Africa. And the only country that protected and supported our people was the Soviet Union. Now there is no Soviet Union, but there is Russia – a worthy successor.
The United States did not want, does not want, and will never want Russia to remain great and as huge as it is. They are jealous. Because they have nothing of their own, they are an artificial nation. That’s why they are trying to eradicate culture and identity in countries all over the world. Including Africa. And they have hated you – the USSR and then Russia – since the Cold War. I’m not talking about the American people. Their leaders have always hated and hate Russia. Their goal is that Russia should not exist. And if it remains, it should be this tiny, not huge.
“It’s time for Joe Biden to retire.”
Gabeto also revealed what advice he would give to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and US leader Joe Biden.
I would advise him to return to his profession. His profession is to be an actor, not a President. I wish him a long life: that he realises the truth, and the truth is that the States are using Ukraine for their own purposes against Russia. They have developed propaganda, harming the whole world. I believe that it is time for US President Joe Biden to retire. Go to sleep, it’s your job now.
“Putin is my idol.”
Putin is my idol. A patriot of Russia and the only leader in the world at the moment. Putin is your defence, our defence. The present Russia and the future Russia are present in him. He is a man of his word.
“Western politicians are not interested in the rest of the world being friends with Russia.”
Brazilian Henrique Dominguez, who came to Sirius, noted in a conversation with journalists that at the WFM everyone unites in order to “create a new world in which we will all live peacefully.” The young man has been studying in Russia for two and a half years and speaks Russian quite well.
In Brazil, the influence of Western propaganda is very strong: there is a lot of bad news about Russia. But when we first came here (I was not alone, I was with friends), we quickly realised that Russia is actually a beautiful country. The people here are kind. And we simply fell in love with Russia.
I was in Brazil on holiday two months ago. What I saw and heard on the news there is beyond good and evil: they talk about some “other scary Russia”. Not the one in which I myself have been living for two and a half years and which I love. I am sure that Western politicians are deliberately engaged in propaganda. They are not interested in the rest of the world being friends with Russia. They are dividing nations.
What a Brazilian thinks about the SMO and Zelensky
Brazil also has a problem with Nazis. I’ll say more: they trained their Ukrainian “colleagues” before the fighting in Donbass back in 2014. Yes, I know what Russia is fighting: the worldwide evil of Nazism.
We remember that in the early months of the SMO, Zelensky was willing to negotiate with Russia. But Boris Johnson from the UK flew to Ukraine and forbade him to negotiate. And I would say this to him (Zelensky): the people of the world don’t need any more Western puppets.

Joe Biden’s brain isn’t working anymore, and it shows. I would say to him: it’s time to retire.
Vladimir Putin plays a very important role in what is happening in the world now. Without him, a new world is impossible. That is why I am with him, I support Vladimir Vladimirovich.

Young people who can and want to unite with each other and find points of contact have come from various countries of the world. “I am from Sudan,” says Santo. – In my homeland and in other countries, people said a lot of things about Russia, including bad things. I was not afraid to come here and now I see with my own eyes: the country is huge and beautiful, the people are kind and hospitable. I love Russia! And the fact that I am trying Russian dishes here is also great: my dream has come true. Russian salad is delicious, potatoes with fish. I haven’t tried the drinks yet. I know there is Russian vodka, I want to try it too.
