Entity won the Phygital Soccer Super Final at the Futures Games

The European Dota 2 team Entity won the Phygital Football Super Final at the Futures Games in Kazan.

Entity’s opponent was the Peruvian team BOOM Esports. Their meeting in the Super Final ended with the score 19:4 (10:0) in favour of the Europeans.

Entity consists of Kazakhstan’s Alimzhan Watson Islambekov, Belarus’ Dmitry Fishman Polischuk, Russia’s Dmitry DM Dorokhin and Vladislav Kataomi Semyonov, with Filipino Dave Yowe Pacana Yuri acting as a substitute at the Future Games.

In Dota 2, teams raffled off $1 million. Winners received $350,000, finalists received $160,000, and bronze medallists received $120,000. In the superfinal, a physical format showmatch, an additional $50,000 was raffled off. Due to the necessity to participate in another tournament, Future Games winners Xtreme Gaming and silver medallists LGD Gaming were unable to participate in the physical part of the competition.

The Future Games are innovative international competitions in hybrid disciplines in the concept of phygital (physical+digital), which combines classic sports and cybersports or VR/AR technology. The competitions are taking place in Kazan and Sochi from 21 February to 3 March with the participation of more than two thousand athletes from 107 countries. The total prize fund of the Games of the Future is $10 million.
