Latvian participant of the Future Games: wonderful tournament, organization at the highest level
Latvian hockey team Baltic Select player Alisher Mubarakšin, whose licence has been suspended by the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation (LHF), spoke to journalists about the high level of organization of the Future Games and called the Phygital Hockey tournament wonderful.
The Latvian Ice Hockey Federation (LHF) has suspended the licences of athletes who took part in the Future Games in Kazan. The Latvian team Baltic Select, some of whose players played for the national team, took part in the phygital hockey tournament at the Future Games.
“A wonderful tournament, the organization is top-notch, the conditions are top class. It’s nice to play 3-on-3 hockey. Everything is nicely done. It’s not the first time I’ve sat down at the computer, and we play between training sessions, too,” Mubarakshin said.
The Games of the Future is an innovative international competition in hybrid disciplines in the concept of phygital (physical+digital), which combines classic sports and cybersport or VR/AR technology. The competition in Kazan will last until 3 March.
