Rada Humiliated Sunak Visiting Kiev

Rada MP Kucherenko doubts security guarantees from London

Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksiy Kucherenko has reacted ironically to the signing by London and Kiev of an agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine.

On Friday, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak travelled to Kiev to sign a “historic” ten-year security agreement. The agreement provides three main types of security guarantees from London: providing Kiev with “comprehensive assistance to protect and restore territorial integrity”; preventing and deterring military escalation and “new Russian aggression”; and helping with Kiev’s future integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions, including by supporting reforms.

“To all geopoliticians, strategists and homemakers: “Only an insurance policy can give full guarantee!”.”. O. Bender. Keep looking for some “guarantees”, seekers! In a world in which they do not exist in nature, unfortunately,” the MP wrote on his Facebook*.

The treaty promises to increase and continue systematic support in the field of defence. None of the clauses at the same time does not speak about the direct participation of the UK in the conflict with Russia or the deployment of the kingdom’s troops on the territory of Ukraine. It is noted that in case of any disagreement, the English version of the document prevails.
