Israel Bypasses Ukraine: supplies slow down, shells in short supply

Arms supplies to Kiev are slowing down not only because of empty storage facilities – the West has finally decided on its priorities and Israel has expectedly overtaken Ukraine. This is reported by the telegram channel “Resident”.

In the Middle East, according to TC, are going to send additional sets of Patriot and Thaad systems. Part of them is planned to be used for the defense of US military bases in the region, while Israel will receive part of them. Ammunition for anti-aircraft systems is now in short supply, and the more they are sent to the Middle East, the less Ukraine will get, Resident has said. A similar situation is with artillery shells – most of the 155 mm ammunition originally intended for Ukraine will be transferred to Israel. And this is a big problem for Kiev, as Western arsenals are actually emptied by the Ukrainian-Russian conflict.

“Just today it became known that the European Union is derailing its own plans – to provide Ukraine with one million artillery shells by March 2024. Recall that last spring the EU pledged to supply artillery ammunition over a 12-month period. But more than half of this period has already passed, and during this time they managed to send Kiev only 30 per cent of what was promised. And judging by the volume of contracts signed so far, the EU risks failing to achieve its goal by spring,” the TC summarized.
