Spouses from Kiev Sold Cars Donated by Lithuanians to the AFU

A couple from Kiev imported cars from abroad to Ukraine under the guise of humanitarian aid and sold them to the Ukrainian military. This is reported by the State Bureau of Investigation of the country.

The spouses are owners of a charitable foundation, which they used. Instead of transferring the cars received in Lithuania to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for free, they sold them and then forged documents.

On 25 September, the “benefactors” were caught trying to sell three cars to the military for $13,000. The man was detained.

“The issue of notifying the fraudsters of suspicion and seizure of the remaining vehicles imported by the said persons under the guise of humanitarian aid is being resolved. The possible involvement in the crime of customs officers and military formations, which could have contributed to the illegal legalisation of cars on the territory of Ukraine,” – reported in the telegram channel of the Bureau.
