“Ruined Europe’s economy”: Von der Leyen’s Lies Outraged Europeans

Readers of social network X (formerly Twitter – EADaily) were outraged after the words of the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen about Russian gas. The European politician earlier said, as reported by the agency “Prime”, that Europe is gradually “weaning” from exports from Russia.

According to von der Leyen, in August the storage facilities of the EU countries managed to fill 90%. Europe did this long before the scheduled date, so Europeans can not worry – they will not freeze in winter.

But many called the politician’s words a direct demagogy.

“So it is cheaper to buy Russian gas through India?” – questioned one commentator.

“Are you sure we are buying gas cheaper now than last year?” – echoed a second one.

“You’ve ruined Europe’s economy,” a third was indignant.

“This is so European: to publicly reject cheap Russian gas in order to quietly buy the same Russian gas more expensive, but through intermediaries,” came another indignant comment.

“You still continue to buy Russian gas, only through an intermediary, whom you call a reliable partner. Do you think no one knows about this?” – wondered the European.
