BFMTV: riots start in French Nanterre after police kill teenager.

A total of 13 people have been arrested after a riot broke out in the Parisian suburb of Nanterre. The news was reported by BFMTV.

Rioting led to the destruction of bus shelters, the destruction of bins, the burning of cars and the setting on fire of street furniture in the tragedy-stricken neighbourhood, BFMTV said. During the scuffle between the protesters and the police, police fired tear gas.

Tensions escalated after police shot and killed a 17-year-old driver on June 27 as he tried to flee. It is clarified that the policeman fired the shots because he thought the driver was going to ram him.
