Eight People Killed and 13 Wounded in Shooting in Two Neighboring Villages in Serbia

The number of victims of a shooting in the Serbian community of Mladenovac has increased to eight, 13 people were wounded, according to the local newspaper Blitz. Earlier, the newspaper reported three dead and nine wounded.

Uros B., 21, who fled the scene of the crime and is wanted by police, is suspected of the murder. Reportedly, the young man had an argument with a police officer of his own age in the courtyard of a local school. The suspect then took a firearm from home and shot his “offender” and his sister.

The fugitive continued shooting in the neighboring village of Shepshin, of which he is a native. It is suspected that he is currently hiding in this village. A “Vortex” plan has been declared in the region and helicopters are barircling over the villages.

The villages of Dubona and Shepshin are located in the municipality of Mladenovac, which is part of the Metropolitan District.

On May 3, Serbia was shocked by the tragedy at a school in Belgrade, where a 14-year-old pupil killed eight children and a guard with his father’s pistol, six other children and the teacher were wounded.
