CNBC: More and More Neutral Countries to Get Closer to Russia and Refuse to Condemn It

More and more countries with neutral positions began to get closer to Russia, refusing to condemn its actions.

The Economist Intelligence Unit report informs about it on CNBC TV channel with reference to the report.

“The number of countries actively condemning Russia has dropped from 131 to 122,” the publication said.

The article said that Russia’s expanding sphere of influence in the world is due to its diplomatic efforts and the fact that Western countries are no longer able to confront “the Kremlin’s narrative.”

China, South Africa, Turkey, Colombia and Qatar are mentioned as examples of countries with which Moscow has recently recorded rapprochement.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov earlier said that only the West speaks about the isolation of Russia, while developing countries continue their dialogue with Moscow.

On February 23, The New York Times reported that U.S. attempts to isolate Russia have failed.
